Introducing The Stealth’s Smart Self-Adjusting Heat Cycles

blog

In today’s era of advancing technology, smart devices are reshaping various aspects of our lives, from smartphones to smart homes. Embracing this wave of innovation, the Entech development team has worked tirelessly to make the Stealth’s steam heat cycles smarter than ever! We are proud to introduce our new smart self-adjusting heat cycles. Our temperature control system now uses advanced AI to continuously check indoor response to heat, in addition to triggers and weather to determine the cycle length. This cutting-edge technology not only offers Entech’s clients substantial cost and energy savings, but ensures optimal comfort for tenants as well. Read further to find out everything you need to know about this new feature.

Comparing The Old Cycles to The New Cycles:

The Stealth used to run the cycles with a total cycle length of 30-90 minutes. This included trigger, cycle and standby. This limited the ability to adjust only the standby or heat cycle as they were interconnected. Once the trigger was reached, the boiler continued to run for a certain amount of time for cycles before turning off in standby. In some buildings the trigger was reached way before units started warming up from the heat cycles. This sometimes turned the boiler off before units were sufficiently heated. On the other hand, units sometimes warmed up very quickly and didn’t need as long of a heat cycle resulting in unnecessary fuel waste.

With the new cycles, standby and cycle are separate entities and have the ability to be set independent of each other. The system also utilizes advanced sensors and algorithms to monitor and analyze indoor temperature fluctuations in real-time. By continuously assessing the thermal needs of the building, the system determines optimal cycle length for both tenant comfort and fuel savings.

Explanation of How The New Cycles Work

The system uses advanced AI, taking into account the past trigger and average indoor temperature movement during heat cycles to put in place the ideal smart cycle settings for each building.

  • The smart cycle will run a minimum amount of time, until the trigger is met.
  • Once the system detects that heat was established, it will check if the indoor temperature increased sufficiently. If so, the system will turn off the heat to ensure optimal fuel savings without compromising on tenant comfort. If the indoor temperature does not increase enough after it runs the minimum cycle, it will continue to run up until the max extension setting.
  • To prevent the boiler from overrunning, the max extension has a limit based on the cycle length to ensure the proper amount of heat.

After the boiler runs with the new cycles for a few days the system checks and auto adjusts the cycle settings so there is no need for managers to worry about adjusting settings on their own.
Pro members have the additional benefit of Pro Specialists monitoring the new cycles to double check that optimal settings are in place.

Cycle Standby

Cycle Standby has a new sophisticated feature based on how much the units cool down during standby time. If unit temperatures decrease more than a certain amount, the boiler will stay off for less time before continuing to run the next heat cycle.

There is also a max Extension for standby, which enables the boiler to stay off for longer if units are staying warm. This way, each building’s boiler will only run when units need the heat and turn off when units are satisfied.

With our self-adjusting steam boiler heat cycles, the future of heating controls is here with Entech! As always, we are forward-thinking and continue to develop our technology and software to ensure you have the smartest boiler control on the market! By leveraging indoor response to heat, boiler sensor triggers, and weather integration, the Stealth ensures significant cost savings and keeps tenants happy. Landlords and managers can now optimize their energy consumption, reduce utility bills, and create comfortable living spaces tailored to the unique needs of their property. Embracing this innovative technology not only benefits the bottom line but also enhances the overall tenant experience, positioning your property at the forefront of the modern, sustainable living movement.
